Melanie Taylor


Melanie has a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo and has a diverse background that includes managing health and safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a design and manufacturing environment; business start-up and operation in the retail and training sectors; and governance of an acute-care hospital undergoing LEAN transformation.  She utilizes the knowledge and skills she has developed in the areas of leadership, sales, business management, continuous improvement, auditing, governance, and strategic planning to help her clients achieve the results they are looking for.

Melanie has been a member of the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Board of Governors since 2009, having served three years as Board Chair.  She also previously served on the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation Board and the board of an independent childcare centre.  Melanie volunteered as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Thomas-Elgin for nine years and continues to mentor her Little Sister, who is now in university and running a business of her own. She occasionally writes for local publications.
