Coach Joe volunteered at the annual Optimist Charity Golf Tournament at Westhaven Golf Club on September 13, 2023. Joe can often be found near a hockey net. Positioned on the “Terrible 13th”, a nasty, narrow 458 yard par 4, Joe set up a net about 40 yards from the tee. The golfers had the option of putting a ball in the net and placing their second shot at the 150 yard marker. The equivalent of about a 290 yard drive. Two were successful.
The tournament raised $10,000 for Ronald McDonald House in London.
