teeny tiny summit
Our TAC coach Judy Preszcator attended a full day of local economic development recently. The Teeny Tiny Summit in Strathroy-Caradoc included learning and networking. It featured keynote speaker Mandy Rennehan, who was authentic and engaging, plus many local speakers.  It was a great blend of informative presentations, networking and breakout sessions. During breaks, there were games setup to get you moving!
The keynote speaker is the CEO of a retail maintenance and construction company. Mandy has supported scholarships for women in trades, spoken at a TEDxTalks event and an HGTV series called Trading Up.
The Ontario Ministry of Rural Affairs (formerly OMAFRA) initiated Teeny Tiny Summits in 2016 by the, as a forum for Ontario’s smallest communities to address barriers to participation in economic development initiatives. The 2025 Teeny Tiny Summit series is themed “Engage and Energize – Empowering Teeny Tiny Places.” They offer community economic development that works for small places including practical examples and tools that can be adopted to small communities as well as share lessons learned from leaders in small communities.
